The Nebraska Infectious Diseases Society will be hosting our next “Ask the Expert” Webinar series on Tuesday, October 22nd, from 12- 1 PM. Drs. Angela Hewlett and James Lawler will be giving us an informative and timely talk on Avian Influenza.

Title: Situation Report: Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza
Objectives:
1. Identify characteristics and origins of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza A(H5N1)
2. Describe modes of transmission of HPAI A(H5N1), including animal-to-human transmission, that contribute to spread of disease.
3. Discuss current infection prevention and clinical management guidance for healthcare facilities and clinicians
