A Success Story: How Public Health and Corporate Dentistry Can Collaborate for a Safer Dental Visit
January 18 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Join APIC and the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) for a four-part virtual education series highlighting the relationship between IP’s and the dental field. Attendees will learn to identify areas of potential collaboration between Infection Prevention and Dental Services including construction and renovation, high level disinfection and sterilization, water management, regulatory requirement strategies, and much more. See below for more details.
There are ways that public health can impact even the hardest to reach settings, including corporate dentistry. The Nebraska Infection Control Assessment and Promotion (ICAP) Program has been providing education and support to the dental setting since 2018 and was able to connect with Summit Dental Health in Nebraska to provide this support. Corporate education, facility infection control assessments and targeted facility education have fostered a safety culture within Summit Dental Health, growing their infection control programs and expertise for each office.
